If this wasn't a weed, I think I'd say this is such a cute flower!!

So glad I was able to catch the little fly away seed.

Bee Balm

They say that Bee Balms attract humming birds... Well, mine seem to mostly attract bees...

This is a great perenial flower that spreads well.

Such a beautiful and delicate flower. Loves to grow in the shade. I also have some white and deep red astilbes. I love them all but really like this baby pink one.

Purple Clematis

Clematis prefer the base of the vine cool but the flowers prefer sun. So, you can cover the base with mulch. We have them growing on our deck, there is a large trellis and they are just beautiful.

It's a hobby!

I am so not a professional photographer but enjoy it as a hobby. I took photo classes in college for a year and really enjoyed it. I use an SLR digital camera (it is a Sony) and totally love it. I made the change to digital about a year ago. I have used an SLR 35 mm camera for years before. So, I will be sharing favourite snap shots and occasional photo shoots as friends and family ask me to do. Constructive comments are appreciated. I am including a link to a site of a professional photographer that I absolutely love! Hope I can inspire you to taking great photos.
Have a great day!

Aspen tree

Trying to go artsy fartsy with this. :) It's fun to try different angles.
We have a few aspen trees and I love them because they grew tall fast but they also have little shoots that grow in the grass or flower beds and we need to constantly cut those down.
Have a happy day!

The best thing about this flower is that it will grow in clay. I have an area where I can't seem to break that clay and they thrive there! They also spread quickly and are easy to divide and move if you want to. I also like that the leaves stay green once the flowers die.

Have a happy day!

Another favourite growing and blooming in my garden are the anemones. They grow very easily and spread every year. They enjoy full sun areas.

Bleeding Hearts

I love these flowers. If you look closely, you can see the shape of the flower ressembles a heart. It also looks like a little drop if falling off the flower. These are blooming in my backyard right now and I just love them. They are native to Japan. They are wonderful for your shady garden. Best of all, they are perrenial (they come back each year). If you are looking for ideas of what to plant in your shady areas, this is a wonderful colourful plant.
I will continue posting photos of flowers from my yard on this blog. These are not stock photos. They are mine.
Thanks for stopping by and have a happy day!
